If you would like to offer an extension to your current intern, discuss the following prior to their end-date:
- Their new hours per month (must be at least 10 hours per week), their course load/schedule.
- A new end date (must be the 15th or last day of the month).
Once you have discussed these items with the intern, please complete these items at least 25 days before the intern's original end date:
- Email [email protected] requesting the Extension Form. We need mentors to email us directly so interns cannot extend their contracts without the mentor's permission.
Upon submission of the Extension Form, the internships team will submit a contract amendment and the intern will be all set to continue working in your laboratory.
Do you have an intern currently that would like to increase or decrease their hours?
Please follow these steps:
- Determine what new monthly bucket the intern will be in. Please keep in mind that they will need to meet the minimum of each bucket every month for the duration of the program.
