About Our Awards

Honoring the Unsung Heroes of Public Health

Please join us in recognizing outstanding professionals who have made significant contributions to advancing public health laboratory science, practice and policy! Our awards fall into two main categories: 

APHL Awards Program

APHL Awards encompass all non-newborn screening-related awards. 

Award Nominations

The nomination period for APHL Awards is currently closed.

Award Announcements

Awardees will be recognized at the APHL Annual Conference in May.

Newborn Screening Awards

Award Nominations

The nomination period for Newborn Screening Awards is currently closed. Nominations will open for the 2026 Awards in summer 2026.
